Miki Kashtan, Certified NVC Trainer:
In this audio recording, Miki demonstrates how to stay in a dialogue when you don’t trust someone’s “yes,” how to equalize power between people and how to allow space for others to say “no” to our requests.
First, Miki works with a woman who doesn’t trust a grocery clerk’s “yes” when his boss asks him to help her. Included is an exploration of the challenges of bridging both people’s sense of power, how to equalize the power between people so others may more honestly say “no” to our requests and what we can do when other people say “yes” to our requests but don’t follow through.
The second segment is focused on a role play with the woman and the grocery clerk, enhancing learning about how to participate in a role play and how to stay connected to ourselves and others in a role play.
