The purpose of setting boundaries is to prevent harm to yourself and others. Boundaries are about knowing yourself and teaching others about you. You must ask yourself:
What do you need to prune the weeds in your relationships?
What will you welcome into your space?
What are you willing to work with?
What will you not allow?
Every individual has different values and capacities. A large part of knowing your boundaries is about knowing yourself. In this video, Yvette Erasmus describes how and why exquisite self-care requires exquisite boundaries.
